Ingredients

  • 60 ml overripe banana, mashed
  • 120 ml vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 200 g brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 160 g all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 100 g chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Butter, sugar, and mashed banana in a large bowl.
  2. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mix well.
  3. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon, stir until no flour streaks remain.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 175 °C.
  6. Scoop dough balls onto the sheet, leaving 5 cm space between them.
  7. Bake for 10-11 minutes until edges are set and the center is slightly underbaked.
  8. Let cool before serving.
